Leadership Curriculum
Leadership Curriculum –
Creating inspired and motivated leaders is the primary focus throughout the leadership learning branch. Students are actively involved in learning activities that allow innovative thinking and creativity. Students are also challenged to work and learn in teams to solve problems and overcome obstacles while focussing on achieving a common goal. Students are particularly challenged to take an innovative and initiative based approach to their contribution to the team, striving to unearth characteristics of leadership within themselves.
- Students will be given the opportunity to demonstrate positive and inspiring behaviours in a safe learning community environment.
- Students will be encouraged to understand and discover leadership qualities within themselves and apply these characteristics to a team environment.
- Students will be given the opportunity to reflect on and become more familiar with aspects of human interactions, emotions and feelings; including empathy, self-efficacy and conflict resolution.
- Students will develop skills in communication and cooperation and will be able to make constructive contributions to team success.
- Work collaboratively, negotiate roles, and delegate tasks to complete challenges within a team environment
