Martin Eriksson

Hi, I’m Martin Eriksson Campus Principal at the Bogong Campus.

We are located amongst the steep valleys below the Bogong High Plains, and I am privileged to work on the lands managed and travelled by the Dudhuroa and Jaithmathang people, and I am privileged to be able to work and walk together with them now in an effort of reconciliation and healing.

Our Bogong Campus comprises of approximately 20 staff passionate and remarkable teachers and ES staff whilst also engaging First Nations people into our program where possible to deliver quality outdoor education for the many students that come to our campus every year. Our programs are as follow and focus on secondary aged students:

• Future Makers

Each of our programs have a curriculum directly tied to the VC 2.0 or in the case of VCE the Outdoor & Environmental Studies, study design.

Our curriculum ensures students gain a greater understanding of the importance of nature on their physical and mental wellbeing. Our curriculum ensures students design and action sustainable living practices in their homes, their schools and their communities. It also ensures students understand and learn how to evaluate risky behaviour in order for them to make more informed decisions and choices. Our curriculum also ensures students engage, collaborate and solve problems that enhance their ability to be a productive member of society while managing sustainable practices to ensure the planets systems are cared for and respected. Finally, our curriculum ensures that students understand the value of being in and positively contributing to a community.
